GUIdPlayer
The GUidHost is an

• 2
vst master inserts
• audio
file recorder
By default the
GuidPlayer uses Soundmanager for its audio output but supports ASIO drivers and
also can be directly linked to protools via DirectConnect or to other programs
like DigitalPerformer using the Rewire protocol (Rewire has not been tested).
Check out this
screenshot of the GUidPlayer.

**QUICK START**
1.Launch the GUidPlayer and
load some audiofile into the players.
The Guid Machine can

To load the sample
just press open on the top end of the file-player.
Press 1to start and 0 to stop the files.
2.Bring Up the faders in the
mixer section.

3.To use the delay just use the
Sends located on the top left of the delay
section and tweek the delay settings by ear.

For the other features
and more details descriptions read the rest of the manual...
---------------------------
FILE PLAYER SECTION

Starting from the
top:
• load
the audiofile pressing open and locate the file you want.
• the
number just below is the pitch. (1 is the original pitch, numbers between
0 and 1 are slower)
• Clicking
on the red led will loop the file.
• 0
and 1 are respectively stop and start.
• the
box below allows to play the file from a certain point and the one after that is the
actual file position , both expressed in seconds.
• the
number outside the box is the lenght of the file.
• the
bottom box will show which file is loaded into that specific player.
MIXER SECTION

It's very straight forward.
The red vertical faders are the volumes and the orizontal ones below are the
pan value for each player.
The peak meters will
show the actual levels of the individual tracks and the master output.
DELAY SECTION

This delay is a
modified version of the 4 tap delay featured on the GUidMachine.
The Sends are for the individual players
starting from the top (player1, 2, 3, 4) the peak meter on the right will show
how much of the signal is sent to the delay.
The
Time/Fb sets respectively delaytime and feedback for each tap.
Starting
from the left you have delay-time 1, feedback1, delay-time 2, feedback 2,
delay-time 3, feedback 3, delay-time 4, feedback 4.
The pan section sets the pan value of each tap
in this order: tap 1 , tap 2, tap 3, tap 4. The center value is in the middle.
You can also pitch
shift each tap using the PitchShift boxes (The WindowSize boxes sets the granulation lenght).
The FeedbackMultiplier
simply double the feedback value for
very long and sustained delays.
The AllPitchTo1 button sets the pitch of all
the taps to the original value.
The DUBWISE!! parameter send the output of
the delay back to its input. Be careful with this because it can easily
overload the output if used toghter with FeedbackMultiplier.
MASTER SECTION /
RECORDER

Use this fader to
adjust the master level and the RECORDER to save audiofiles of what you are
doing on the GUidPlayer.
To
Record, first of all you need to
set the file path using the open button. After you have named the file, to start
recording press the little grey box. To stop recording press it again.
Remember that
everytime you start/stop record you will need to create a new audio file path
otherwise it will not record!
MASTER VST INSERTS

Here
you can put a 2 vst fx before the master out. To do that press plug and select a vst fx to
load. on and off will resplectevely enable and bypass the effect.
Use open to edit the plugin.
AUDIO SETTINGS

Here you can switch
the GUidPlayer on and off and select the audiodriver and sample rate.
The CPU will show the actual cpu
engagement.
GLOBAL START/STOP -
SETTINGS RECALL

The GLOBAL START/STOP
allows you to start and stop all the player at once. This is very useful if you
have for example four submixes of the same track and you want to mix it live.
The
settings recall section is to
store and recall the window settings. To store Shift+Click on the boxes; to
recall just click on the boxes.
This
settings are for this window only and will disappear when you quit the program.
To
Save them use write and to reload them use read.
ENJOY!
